5 star ratingGreat experience We did the Spirit of the Coorong Adventure Cruise, which involves two walks. The first over the Younghusband peninsula boardwalk to the Southern Ocean is an easy stroll rewarded by an opportunity to try your hand (or feet) at searching for cockles. Freshly cooked cockles are ready and waiting on your return to the boat. After lunch, which is a lovely packed picnic lunch box, there is a slightly more arduous walk at Cattle point to an aborigine midden. All through the trip there was excellent commentary and plenty of bird life to view.

The boat was full and booking is definitely recommended. Arrive a little early for your cruise and treat yourself to a coffee at Hector's cafe on the wharf.

5 star ratingOne of the best days out We did not plan our cur half day cruise but what a great surprise when we decided to do the cruise our crew Michael and Dave could not do enough for us, the knowledge they shared of the wildlife and environs was wonderful, there was plenty of birdlife and also lots of seals to be seen, the Coorong is full of life and is pristine. The lunch provided was of a high quality and served in individual trays, I believe they do take special requests in regards to specific needs, with ample quantity to suit most people.

5 star ratingEven better than we expected - and we had pretty high expectations! We were a party of 4 - 2 Aussies and 2 Canadians. The tour was easy to book online with a no fuss check in as we boarded. The lunch was very good with good variety. We really appreciated that it was a minimal waste "green" meal with real cups and cutlery and reusable bento boxes. Dave and Bain were really interesting and efficient and we enjoyed the way the shared their knowledge of the area in a friendly, fun manner.

The trip itself was beautiful with lots of time spent looking at the abundant wildlife - there was never a sense of rushing. On our trip we saw so many seals, dolphins and all manner of birds/waterfowl that we lost track. We also saw a pair of emus climb a sand dune - what an awesome day!

Finally - we loved the upper deck of the vessel - coming from a wicked Canadian winter, we appreciate every opportunity to be outside in the glorious Aussie sunshine.
