Magnificent Wildlife We did the 6 hour Adventure Cruise which took us down the Younghusband Peninsula. Seals were frolicking at the Goolwa Barrage. We saw Emus, Pelicans, Cormorants, Swans and Pied Oyster Catchers. Being Spring, everything was coming to life. There was good water flow around the mouth of the River Murray - a welcome sight after years of drought. We had two walks through sandhills - one to the ocean and another to an Aboriginal midden. Be prepared for a little exercise to get through some deep sandy patches. Lunch on board the vessel was a nice assortment of cold meats and salads presented in our own container. The commentary was very informative and the Captain and staff looked after the group very well.
Wow Murray Mouth What an adventure. Boat was well presented with Captain & crew ready to give us an awesome experience. An Informative presentation by the Captain with a more than acceptable lunch as we meandered through the Lock observing Seals, Migratory Birds and of course the local Pelicans & Ducks. To go through the Murray mouth of a river that has struggled over many years was an awesome experience. The walk through the sand hills with the commentary from Lachie was more than informative to be met by Southern Ocean breeze. Great day out.
A great experience This was a last minute decision to go on a 3.5 hour cruise and the staff could not have been more helpful in assisting us when it seemed that they were already full. That first class service was mirrored by Bain and Dave who took us on a very enjoyable cruise including a nice lunch, walk and informatory commentary. Highly recommend this cruise.
