5 star ratingFantastic expereince My husband and I did this one day cruise a few weeks ago during a trip to South Australia and had a wonderful day. The cruise takes you down the Murrary River, through the barrage (which was covered in New Zealand fur seals) and through the Coorong National Park. We were lucky to do the cruise on a beautiful calm and sunny day which made it even more special. Seeing the Murray River full of water was great after so many years of drought.

We were particularly impressed with the guide who captained the boat and provided the commentary. He was very knowledgeable, good humoured and friendly. He led the group to an important Aboriginal site during the cruise and provided interesting information about the local Indigenous poeple and their culture. We saw evidence of their occupation of that place in the sand dunes in the form of large areas of shell and rocks that had been used as tools.

The other stop we made was also through the sand dunes to the Southern Ocean. It was a great experience to stand on see the roaring surf crashing on to the beach which was empty bar our cruise group. The only annoyance was the millions of mozzies that decended on us!

The cruise includes an excellent lunch of cold meats and salad with a brad roll, cheese and crackers, followed by afternoon tea with homemade bicsuits.

I highly recommend this cruise if you're visiting this area.

5 star ratingExcellent Value Cruise Best way to see the famous Coorong. Very friendly tour guides, very knowledgeable and informative with National Park experience. Great value with snacks provided as well as a main lunch which I thought was brilliant..A highlight was the provision of beautifull cooked Musells from the area. going through the Barrage was a first , and fascinating with the amount of bird life & seals that swamp the area.. cruising into the Murray Mouth was just amazing.. definately recommend the 6 hour tour, as there is a shorter option.. you also have two off boat guided walks.. A definite must for visitors to the area, and overseas tourists will especially love the bidlife.. Thanks Dave & Dane..

5 star ratingCoorong Discovery Cruise on a foul day was still excellent. We have previously done the cruise about 7 years ago. We had our daughter and her children from Victoria. The day started hot and dusty about 41 degrees at Goolwa but there was an early cool change. We were sand-blasted on the walk to the ocean, but the children declared that they would do it again. 2 of the children have nut-allergies and suitable foods were provided for their lunch. The commentary during the trip was excellent.
