Lots of birds We had a great time! First time we had ever gone through a lock. Very interesting seeing the dredging at the mouth of the Murray River and where the freshwater of the Murray River meets the saltwater of the Southern Ocean; you can actually see the difference in the water where they meet. Our guide really knew his birds which was great because birdwatching was one of the main reasons we selected this cruise. Beach walks were fun. Lunch was nice.
Wonderful Cruise The guys who operated our cruise were so friendly and competent! They made the cruise extremely interesting and a great experience. Their knowledge of the Coorong environment and nature was encyclopaedic and their patter was interesting and most educational. The 4 hr cruise was over before we realised. The birdlife, views of the Murray River mouth, the beaches, the barrages, the mix of salt and sea water were all fascinating. The cruise was very well organised and the lunch provided on board was also very well managed and presented. All in all a good experience and good value for money.
Spirit of the Coorong Cruise Have just this last Sunday spent the day with Bain and Dave on the Spirit. A great day, little cool and windy but still a beautiful day. Very informative and interesting.Add a super packed lunch and afternoon tea into the mix for a Sunday well spent.Bird life in abundance, seals at the Barrage very unexpected, walks in the sand hills for a recommended day out.
