Coorong Discovery Cruise on a foul day was still excellent. We have previously done the cruise about 7 years ago. We had our daughter and her children from Victoria. The day started hot and dusty about 41 degrees at Goolwa but there was an early cool change. We were sand-blasted on the walk to the ocean, but the children declared that they would do it again. 2 of the children have nut-allergies and suitable foods were provided for their lunch. The commentary during the trip was excellent.
Fabulous Day We started at the Goolwa Wharf, boat had excellent viewing from inside or up on top in the open air. So much wildlife along the way was really impressed, the tour guides were so informative.Went through the lock, which was interesting, then on to the Murray Mouth, and up to Cattle Point, was definitely worth doing the 6 hour trip. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea all provided and was fabulous. We went on two walks which were great, tour guides had so much knowledge of the history which was very interesting. They had everything so well organised. Definitely recommend doing.
Great atmosphere good meal. We went as a present for Christmas. Have been down the Coorong for many years but it has changed so much. This excursion is so good and I learnt a great deal about how it has changed in the past few years. Very unfortunate the seals seem to be taking over. the packed meal that we had was a credit to the company's chef. Fresh and healthy. The commentary was good as was the service
