What a great day Goolwa is a small seaside town and this is where we started our boat trip on the Coorong. What a brilliant time. Excellent very well informed crew, comfortable boat and what a lot to see. The weather wasn't great but we still took two walks into the sand dunes and learned so much. From the freshly cooked cockles to the prepared lunch nothing was too much trouble. Everything made for a great day. Highly recommend.
Great family day out We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 hour cruise on the Spirit of the Coorong. Mat was an excellent host. His commentary was informed, interesting and funny. Dave took us on 2 guided walks which again were informative and fun. It was great for the children on board to be able to have a run, and a paddle in the ocean. The scenery was spectacular, and we saw plenty of wildlife. The crew was very attentive, especially to some disabled passengers. The lunch was fantastic, and the cruise was well worth the money. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone.
Mighty Murray's modest end Limited time meant we could only manage the two-hour cruise to the Murray Mouth, though would have loved to do the full Coorong. (Next time!) Still, thoroughly enjoyed our shorter trip - negotiating the lock, the basking seals, the super-abundant bird life. However, no doubt our highlight was walking across the sand beside the surprisingly modest mouth of the mighty Murray River. The sea air was about as fresh and invigorating as you can get.
