Unique experience The cruise was very worthwhile. The crew were excellent with a very interesting commentary, experience of a lock, the opportunity to walk across the dunes to the sea, understanding something of the native food sources and view the diversity of plant life. The lunch was a great variety and the crew very efficient at providing both lunch and afternoon tea. It was certainly a thrill to be able to venture into the mouth of the Murray. I would certainly recommend some suitable OHS strips to clearly mark the edge of the step from seats to corridor to catch the eye of passengers.
Couldn't got a better day!!! Right from the start, everyone was helpful and friendly. Bain and Dave were fantastic guides, very knowledgable and helpful. The 2 walks were interesting and informative, lunch was great, as was afternoon tea. Would highly recommend this trip - we are local people and found it a great way to understand the lower lake and Murray Mouth set ups.
Mighty Murray's modest end Limited time meant we could only manage the two-hour cruise to the Murray Mouth, though would have loved to do the full Coorong. (Next time!) Still, thoroughly enjoyed our shorter trip - negotiating the lock, the basking seals, the super-abundant bird life. However, no doubt our highlight was walking across the sand beside the surprisingly modest mouth of the mighty Murray River. The sea air was about as fresh and invigorating as you can get.
