Full day Great day out. 2nd time we have done this trip. Ages 30 to 85, enjoyed by all. Off boat for walks twice (or just sit if you want) nice lunch. Friendly, informative, educational. Pleasant trip with lots to see. Was not Solo but our group not covered by options above.
An unforgottable experience We did not book in advance but with efforts of the friendly lady we were booked on the 4,5 hours tour.Although it was a quite windy we sat outside on the upper deck and we had the most wonderful experience. The lock was packed with seals and there were pleanty of sea birds; swans with ducklings, pelicans, herons and a lot of birds I do not know. The captain, who understood quite some Durch, was very knowledgeable about the area. Mat was a lovely host and very helful during the walk in the dunes. Above of this he could reveal the most wonderful smile when his picture was taken.Summarized an unforgottable experience, very recommendable! One advise, take some repellent with you because the mosquitoes are a little bit too "friendly" when you are walking in the dunes.
3.5 hour Coorong cruise Leaving from the main wharf at Goolwa this cruise went through the lock and to the mouth of the Murray. From there we disembarked at Barkers knoll to walk across the dunes to the sea. Back on board we went further down the Coorong. A comprehensive cold lunch hamper was provided as was tea and coffee. You could take your own wine if desired but no alcohol was available on board. A very enjoyable afternoon with lots of wildlife (I am talking about thousands) including playful seals and majestic pelicans. The commentary was entertaining and informative and the hosts had boundless knowledge about the Coorong.
