5 star ratingGreat atmosphere good meal. We went as a present for Christmas. Have been down the Coorong for many years but it has changed so much. This excursion is so good and I learnt a great deal about how it has changed in the past few years. Very unfortunate the seals seem to be taking over. the packed meal that we had was a credit to the company's chef. Fresh and healthy. The commentary was good as was the service

5 star ratingFantastic expereince My husband and I did this one day cruise a few weeks ago during a trip to South Australia and had a wonderful day. The cruise takes you down the Murrary River, through the barrage (which was covered in New Zealand fur seals) and through the Coorong National Park. We were lucky to do the cruise on a beautiful calm and sunny day which made it even more special. Seeing the Murray River full of water was great after so many years of drought.

We were particularly impressed with the guide who captained the boat and provided the commentary. He was very knowledgeable, good humoured and friendly. He led the group to an important Aboriginal site during the cruise and provided interesting information about the local Indigenous poeple and their culture. We saw evidence of their occupation of that place in the sand dunes in the form of large areas of shell and rocks that had been used as tools.

The other stop we made was also through the sand dunes to the Southern Ocean. It was a great experience to stand on see the roaring surf crashing on to the beach which was empty bar our cruise group. The only annoyance was the millions of mozzies that decended on us!

The cruise includes an excellent lunch of cold meats and salad with a brad roll, cheese and crackers, followed by afternoon tea with homemade bicsuits.

I highly recommend this cruise if you're visiting this area.
