Cruise –
Echuca to Mildura
9 DAYS / 8 NIGHTS
DAY 1
Pick up from car park area and coached
to Echuca for overnight accommodation.
DAY 2
Depart Echuca, cruising past Wharaparilla
Station, Murrumbidgee Reef, Nine Mile Bend before stopping for
lunch at Deep Creek Marina. After lunch we continue to cruise past
the Perricoota State Forest, Kate Malone Bend, Scotty Bend and
Halfway Bend and arriving at Stanton Break for the coach trip back
to Echuca.
DAY 3
Coach return to Stanton Break to resume
our cruise past Gunbower State Forest, past Thule creek which
leads to the Wakool and eventually feeds back into the Murray
at the Wakool junction, and stopping at McClure Bend for lunch.
After lunch we will cruise past the Koondrook State Forest and
Sovereign Bend as well as cruising past the wrecks of the ‘ Glimpse’ and
2 other barges before stopping for overnight accommodation, dinner,
bed and breakfast at Barham.
DAY 4
Depart Barham, cruise past The Gardens,
Campbell’s Island Forest Reserve and the Gonn Crossing
Bridge before stopping for lunch at Gonn Crossing. After lunch
cruise past Pental Island Junction and the Pental Island pumping
station and the beautiful “Murray Downs” which was
the first station in this area on the New South Wales side of
the river, then on to our overnight accommodation, dinner, bed
and breakfast at Swan Hill.
DAY 5
Depart Swan Hill, cruise past the River
Murray and Little Murray Junction and the Historic Tyntyndyer Homestead,
which was built in 1846 and is now a Museum before stopping for
lunch in Nyah. After lunch we will cruise past the Nyah State forest,
Murphy’s Island and the wreck of Alewein before stopping
for overnight accommodation, dinner, bed and breakfast at Tooleybuc.
DAY 6
Depart Tooleybuc, and head for Wakool
River and if conditions are right explore before heading to Murrumbidgee
Junction for lunch. After lunch we will cruise to Murrumbidgee
River, where again if conditions are right we may be able to explore
before heading to Boundary Bend for our coach transfer to Euston
for our overnight accommodation, dinner, bed and breakfast.
DAY 7
Coach return to Boundary Bend to resume
cruising past Tala Rocks, Manie State Forest and Yungera before
stopping to enjoy a lovely picnic lunch on the River banks. After
lunch we will cruise past the Belsar State Forest, Invincible
Bend, Bumbang Cutting before passing under the Robinvale Bridge
and onto Euston for overnight accommodation, dinner, bed and
breakfast.
DAY 8
Depart Euston, cruising past Success Reef
and Gell’s of Danger Island, a spectacular rock ledge, which
is exposed at low water and almost blocks the channel before stopping
for lunch at Wemen. After lunch cruise past McGinty’s Reach,
passing some interesting reefs and sands bars before stopping at
Kulkyne for coach transfer to our overnight accommodation in Mildura.
DAY 9
Coach return to Kulkyne to cruise past
Watts Bend, and Colignan before stopping for lunch at Nangiloc.
After lunch we will cruise past the historic Red Cliffs pump
station, Trentham Winery and Gol Gol before we reach Mildura
to conclude our cruise.
